Dear Colleague,

I invite you to join us for the USANZ Victorian Section meeting 2011.

We have planned to host this in Lorne for October 21-23 of this year. This definitely should be a weekend you keep free as this meeting promises to be one not to miss both from an academic and social perspective. The general theme of the meeting will be bladder cancer and we are happy to be able to report that we expect our overseas guest to be Dr Mark Soloway from Miami. As I am sure you are all aware, he is a world renowned academic, surgeon and an extremely entertaining and engaging speaker. He will be coming fresh from the SIU meeting in Berlin and some entertaining and informative sessions are assured. In addition, for some local perspective, we have invited Manish Patel from Sydney to further elaborate on modern treatment of bladder cancer. The programme will be developed over the coming months however we expect an exciting, invigorating and entertaining academic program.

Of course, conferences are not all hard work, so I am sure you would be pleased to learn the meeting will be held in Lorne, one of Victoria's premier seaside resorts. Situated on the Surf Coast, the weather in late October is likely to make it perfect for the variety of activities that are available in this beautiful part of the world. From bushwalking to surfing, mountain bike riding to wine tasting, golf or just a pleasant drive along the spectacular and world-renowned great Ocean Road – this meeting promises to deliver invigoration of mind, with either adrenaline or relaxation for the body, depending on your tastes Was mantra resort. The meeting will be held at the mantra resort in Lorne making this the perfect opportunity to bring your family and enjoy all that this beautiful part of the world has to offer.

So keep the 21st to 23 October free, and pencil in the USANZ Victorian Section ASM. We would be delighted to see you down in Lorne and look forward to a fantastic meeting.
